New Life Rule

Managing Character Death and Interactions

Key Points:

  1. Negative Interactions:

    • Two negative interactions can lead to a character being killed by the victim of these interactions.

  2. Permadeath Decision:

    • Permadeath (perma) is not mandatory after a character is killed.

    • If the opposing party does not wish to permadeath, the death does not have to be permanent.

  3. New Life Rule (NLR):

    • If a character's death is not made permanent, the character must adhere to the NLR.

    • The character must forget the interactions and any roleplay leading to their death.

Guidelines:

  • Consider the storyline and context before permadeathing a character.

  • Communicate with other players to ensure roleplaying remains enjoyable for all parties involved.

  • Always adhere to the NLR if a character returns after a non-permanent death.
