Where Justice Finds Its Voice
Welcome to the official documentation for the San Andreas Department of Justice (DOJ). This charter serves as an introduction to the department, our fundamental purpose, and our role as the cornerstone of the state's legal system.
What We Do
The Department of Justice is the principal legal authority of the State of San Andreas. While law enforcement agencies are the shield, we are the fulcrum upon which the scales of justice balance. Our purpose extends beyond a single scene or arrest; we are responsible for the comprehensive administration of justice, from indictment to verdict. We prosecute the state's most serious offenders, defend its laws and interests, and ensure the unwavering integrity of our entire legal framework.
Core Divisions
Our mandate is carried out by several distinct, specialized divisions:
🏛️ 1. Criminal Division (District Attorney's Office) This division is the state's sword in the courtroom. Our prosecutors and Assistant District Attorneys (ADAs) are the state's most formidable litigators. Their responsibilities include:
Litigating criminal cases brought forward by all state and local law enforcement agencies.
Working in direct partnership with detectives to build airtight cases for trial.
Handling all aspects of the criminal process, including arraignments, plea bargains, trials, and sentencing.
Securing convictions and ensuring that justice is served on behalf of the people of San Andreas.
⚖️ 2. Judicial Services & Administration The foundation of a fair society is an impartial judiciary. This division ensures the integrity and functionality of the courts. It is responsible for:
Overseeing the administration of the state court system, including the management of dockets and judicial appointments.
Drafting and interpreting legislation to ensure it aligns with the state constitution.
Serving as the state's primary legal counsel, providing guidance to the government and its agencies.
Ensuring the entire judicial process remains transparent, fair, and free from influence.
🕵️ 3. Bureau of Investigations (BOI) For cases that demand the highest level of discretion, complexity, and authority, the DOJ deploys its own elite investigators. The BOI is tasked with:
Investigating public corruption, financial crimes, organized crime, and complex criminal conspiracies.
Conducting internal affairs investigations into all government agencies to uphold public trust.
Providing investigative support on major cases at the request of the District Attorney.
Operating with absolute autonomy to pursue truth and justice, no matter where the evidence leads.
Our Mission & Values
Our mission is to uphold the constitution of San Andreas, to impartially enforce the rule of law, to ensure public safety against all threats both foreign and domestic, and to guarantee that justice is not merely a concept, but a reality for every citizen.
We are guided by our core values:
Justice: The fair, impartial, and equitable application of the law, free from prejudice or favor.
Integrity: Upholding unyielding ethical standards and acting with honesty and honor in every action. We are a body beyond reproach.
Objectivity: Being guided by facts, evidence, and legal precedent, not by emotion or public pressure.
Diligence: The meticulous and relentless pursuit of the truth, ensuring that every case is prepared and presented with unmatched professionalism.
