Powergaming
Powergaming Explained:
Powergaming involves manipulating game mechanics unfairly to gain an advantage, often at the expense of realism. Below are common examples of powergaming:
Forcing Outcomes: Declaring outcomes instead of attempting them. Example:
Incorrect - /do finds the hidden weapon
Correct - /do searches the glovebox
.
Escaping Limitations: Leaving restraints or jail without realistic roleplay or staff approval.
Unauthorized Item Acquisition: Generating items that your character did not obtain through roleplay.
Ignoring Physical Boundaries: Performing actions that defy realistic physical limitations, like infinite sprinting or surviving impossible falls.
Unrealistic Justifications: Using excuses like "I'm built different" to validate implausible abilities.
